Air Brush Sunless Tanning
Tips from Heather
I'm so glad you chose Fit to be Tan for your airbrush tanning! Below is what I recommend and hope you follow closely. After nearly 2 years of experimenting with soaps and lotions myself, and spraying different skin types, I highly encourage you to do the following:
- Please shave and exfoliate either the night before or before work in the morning, if you are coming to tan after work. If you normally have very dry skin, please see the baby oil tip below and/or use a very, very light amount of lotion in the morning before work.
- Good moisture is KEY in maintaining a good tan. If you regularly moisterize your skin then your spray tan will take very well. If you do not regularly moisterize or have exceptionally dry skin, I recommend using baby oil a few nights before bed leading up to your tanning session for the first time. This will artificially increase the level of skin moisture and allow for an improved tan.
- As with moisterizing beforehand, maintaining a good moisterizing schedule for your skin will generally extend the tan life, as moisterizing extends your skin life.
- No make-up at time of session. We have restrooms for you to wash your face if you need to.
- Wear loose fitting clothing and flip flops. Stretch pants/leggings do not qualify as loose fitting.
- No sweating for 6-8 hours after session. No showering for 6-8 hours after your session either; the longer your leave the initial tan on, the better.
- Showering and working out the next day is okay.
- Remember; everyone's skin is different. Your tan may not fully develop for 24 hours. It is recommended that you wait at least that long before getting a 2nd spray. You may get darker than you think.
